With the ongoing concerns of COVID outbreaks across Australia, who knows what the new “normal” for life and business in Australia will be till a vaccination is developed"
One thing we do know is that COVID signage requirements such as "Wash Your Hands", "Keep a Safe Distance" etc are here to stay and across all industries there will be an ongoing demand for permanent, durable compliance signage.
Every existing business will need these. To assist you and get the ball rolling please download these files that have been designed for use as vinyl cut, digital print, front and reverse engraving options. These files will provide opportunities to sell a 'Good', 'Better' and 'Best' range of COVID signage to meet your client’s specific requirements and budgets.
While Standards Australia and Department of Health have yet to consolidate Standards for the various COVID signage appearing around the country, we called on Glenn Hain from Risk & Compliance Consulting NSW to ensure what we are offering meets existing standards.
Mr Hain stated, "In my opinion in addition to being compliant to the relevant section of AS 1319 they meet the new messaging requirements covid-19 will require in the hospitality, commercial and care work environments." Mr Hain further noted "The way these signs are manufactured will make them a good fit for any organisation that requires signs to be easy to clean and/or require high levels of hygiene."
In my opinion in addition to being compliant to the relevant section of AS 1319 they meet the new messaging requirements covid-19 will require in the hospitality, commercial and care work environments.
Disclaimer: Australian Standards AS 1319-1994
Please note: Currently Australia Standards do not have any compliant symbols to meet COVID-19 signage requirements such as Social Distancing, Wipe Down Work Area etc. Based on these symbols used, we believe that their “meanings are reasonably self-evident to the people for whom its message is intended and that they can transcend language barriers” (direct quote from standards).
The size of all texts, spacing, symbols and sign sizes are determined by the viewing distances, with the following signage templates based on 2 and 3 meters.
Based on discussion and reviews with Glenn Hain of Risk and Compliant Consulting NSW, these signs will fulfil the need for compliant COVID Safety signage.
